Connecting the construction sector

A visit to the MediaCityUK construction site in Salford, phase 1 which is being built now on the 36 acres site will comprise of 700,000 sq ft of Office space, 250,000 sq ft studio block, Retail/leisure, apartments and a hotel. The public realm area of the site will take up five-acres with a piazza capable of accommodating around 4,000 people and a new tram link to Manchester city centre.
BBC sport, children's and existing BBC Manchester opporations will begin moving to the site as of the begining of 2010
